Healthcare Policy Analyst

We are looking for a highly motivated individual with an interest in data analysis, database maintenance, and research to join our Vancouver office in the role of Research & Reporting Analyst. This is an opportunity to influence strategic decision-making among our clients, which include start-ups and Fortune 500 companies.


  • Perform routine maintenance on an existing database of medical policy information, gaining relevant industry expertise.

  • As required, liaise directly with clients on projects to understand their needs, scope deliverables and present findings.

  • Work directly with the Sales and Customer Success teams to scope and estimate for new Research projects.

  • Conduct online research into industry relationships and trends to gain relevant insights and expertise in the industry.

  • Synthesize relevant policy information from complex Healthcare-related documents into a customized client report that summarizes valuable findings.

  • Update customized client reports on a scheduled basis to reflect changes in medical coverage requirements.

  • Represent the goals of the Research Team through respectful communication, comprehensive research to build expertise and high prioritization of data integrity/accuracy.

  • Support efforts to improve the productivity of the Research team, by providing input on new/existing processes and procedures.

  • Conduct Quality Control checks on your own work, as well as the work of colleagues.

  • Provide support and guidance to new hires, participating in the mentorship program when requested.

  • Fulfill the role of Research Lead on Reporting projects, providing direction and conducting quality assurance on the work of colleagues in the Research team

  • Specialize in multiple BPI Reporting products, working with Sales, Software, Research, Project Management, and Product Management to define and enhance the product’s capability

  • Perform other administrative and research tasks as required.


  • At least a Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field (eg: life sciences, social sciences)

  • Experience with research and/or synthesizing and summarizing complex technical information

  • Minimum 1-3 Years' experience in similar roles an asset

  • Ability to communicate complex subjects and ideas clearly

  • Ability to work well independently and collaboratively as our projects are often worked on by multiple members of the team

  • Excellent judgement and organizational skills to successfully ensure completion of a variety of tasks ahead of their respective deadlines

  • Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to maintain focus

  • Expert English language skills (both written and verbal). A significant part of the job requires reading, understanding, and creating sophisticated documents

  • Intimate familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Drive applications an asset
